A comet is an icy, small Solar System body that, when passing close to the Sun, warms and begins to release gases, a process called outgassing. This produces a visible atmosphere or coma, and sometimes also a tail.

Answer:

A comet is an icy, small Solar System body that, when passing close to the Sun, warms and begins to release gases, a process called outgassing.

This produces a visible atmosphere or coma, and sometimes also a tail.

It's because of it's speed too. Some times we can observe white, blue, orange/yellow etc.,

It's due to the atmospheric conditions around/surrounding it.

Most of the times it would be blue and orange/yellow

Blue because of it's icy layer around it

And Orange because of the atmospheric condition of earth it undergoes chemical reaction with the gases around the comet and produces orange flame/fire around

Sometimes it may blast in the atmosphere without any contact due to heat

Hope u got ur answer
