1)Paddy stalks are gathered and dried for sometime.
2)Threshing by beating the sheaves against the bars is applied to help in separation of grain from stalks.
3)Winnowing is then done to remove the unwanted particles from paddy grains.
4)Milling is done to remove yellowish husks, from paddy is then removed so that rice is obtained and to obtain white polished rice it made to pass between varying sets of rollers till it is polished.
