1 - TRANSLATORY MOTION - A translatory motion is a motion in which all parts of a body move through the dame distance in the same interval of time

2 - ROTATORY MOTION - A motion is said to be rotatory if anobject moves on a circular path around a fix axis without changing its position EXAMPLE - MOTION OF POTTER'S WHEEL

3 - OSCILLATORY MOTION -  A oscillatory motion is the back and forth motion which takes place about a mean position EXAMPLE - MOTION OF A SWING
