liver is the largest gland of the body weighing about about 1.2 to 1.5 kg in an adult human . it is situated in the abdominal cavity , just below the diaphragm and has two lobes .

the hepatics lobules are the form of cords . each lobules is covered by a thin connective tissue

The digestive glands associated with the alimentry canal include the salivary gland the liver and the pancreas.
saliva is mainly produce by three pair's of salivary gland the parotids ( cheek ) , the sub-
maxillary / sub mandibular ( lower jaw ) and the sub lingbuals.
These gland situated just outside the bucal
cavity secrete juice into the buccal cavity.
