Answers
growth hormone is secreted by pituitary gland which controls the height of a person.
insulin is a harmone secreted by pancreas which help in maintaining the sugar level.
1. Pituitary gland.
Hormones : growth hormone, adrenocorticortophic hormone, oxytocin, vasopressin.
Functions:
a. Growth hormone: stulates development and growth by promoting protei synthesis and call division.
b. Adrenocorticotophic hormone: it stimulates growthin adrenal gland and secretion of adrenalin.
c. Oxytocin: it is known as the birth hormone as it induces contractions of uterine muscles during north of young one . It is also known as the milk ejecting hormone.
d. Vasopressin: it decreases the loss of water in urine by increasing the reabsorption of water in convulated tubule.

Secretion: thyroxin and calcitonim.
a. Thyroxin: it regulates metabolism of carbohydrate protein and fat in the body so as to provide the best balance for growth . It promptesgrowth if body tissues and mental development.
b. Calcitonim: it regulates concentration of calcium and phosphorus in blood.
3. Parathyroid gland:
Secretion: parathormone.
Function of parathormone is to act antagonastically to calcitonim to regulate calcium phosphorus balance in blood.
4. Penial gland:
Secretion: melatonin.
Function of melatonin is that it regultes the working of gonads .
5.thymus gland:
Secretion: thymosin.
Function of thymosin is that it stimulates the development and diffreneciation of lymphocytes and thereby increasing resistance to infection.

Secretions: mieralocorticoids, glucocorticoids, adrenalin and non adrenalin.
Functions:
a. Mineralocorticoids: it helps in maintaining sodium potassium ratio in the bay fluids. They maintain water and electrolyte balance and blood volume in the body.
b. Glucocorticoids: it regulates bmr along with thyroxin. It regulates metabolism of carbohydrate protein and fat.
c.adrenalin : termed as emergency hormone . It helps to fight stress or danger.
d. Non adrenalin: it helps the body to bring back to normal condition.
7. Pancreas:
Secretions: insulin and glucagon.
Functions:
a. Insulin: it helps to convert extra glucose in blood into glycogen.
b. Glucagon : it converts stored glycogen into glucose when carbohydrate intake is less in the body.
8. Testes :
Secretions: testosterone.
Function: it stimulates growth of secondary sexual characters. It stimulates the formation of male gamete and also stimultes the development ofaccessory glands.
