H.M.S Beagle :-

1. The Voyage of the Beagle is the title most commonly given to the book written by Charles Darwin and published in 1839 as his Journal and Remarks, bringing him considerable fame and respect.
2. The Beagle sailed from Plymouth Sound on 27 December 1831 under the command of Captain Robert FitzRoy.
3. The Beagle that Darwin sailed on was the third of its kind and weighed 235 tons. It was designed in 1807 and was the 45th of the 100 types of ships in the Cherokee class.
