Rabindranath Tagore was an Indian Poet born in Kolkata on 7 May 1861.
- Under private teachers, he took his early education at home, and never attended school. He started writing poems at age eight.
- In 1878, however, he went to England to study law but returned to India before completing his career as a poet and novelist.
- Rabindranath Tagore was twenty years old and wrote the original dramatic piece Valmiki Pratibha.
- He published another piece of drama Visarjan in 1890. which was undoubtedly his finest work on drama.
