The SAT is based on a 1600-point scale, with two sections—Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing—scored between 200 and 800, and the optional essay evaluated separately. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so your raw score is the sum of the number of questions you answer correctly.

The essay is optional and scored separately from the multiple choice portions of the test (your essay score doesn't affect your Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score).

Answer:

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE TERMS AND REGULATIONS FOR EVERY YEAR

Explanation:

Although this is sound advice, the SAT, CAT, PSAT, and most other tests change their regulations and guidebooks every year. In 2021, you may lose a point for the wrong/ not attempted answer :) Hope this helps.
