Explanation:

The post-social reformers targeted the caste system because the caste system itself had done great damage to the unity of the society and the country. Due to caste system, the upper castes treated the lower castes very badly. They were not allowed to fetch water from public wells and ponds. They were allowed to visit temples and attend religious ceremonies in the new 921 AD. The lower castes were considered untouchables. If ever two shadows of a lower caste man fell on a higher caste man, he would be beaten to death. The lower caste people were forced to be welded by the weld reformers for garbage, cleaning, tanning, skinning of dead animals, etc. To eliminate these discriminations, social reformers targeted caste system.
