According to the Indian culture tradition, the festival of Teej is celebrated all over the country. The festival of Teej is also known as Haritalika Teej or Kajali Teej. Teej festival is a festival of Hindu women. The festival of Teej falls every year in the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. On the day of Teej festival, unmarried girls observe Teej fast to get a suitable groom, and married women keep Teej fast for the long life of their husband and to remove all the troubles of their life.
There are three types of Teej festival, Hariyali Teej, Kajari Teej and Haritalika Teej. On the day of Hariyali Teej, women worship the moon and on the day of Kajari Teej women worship the neem tree and Haritalika Teej is called the festival of Teej. On that day women keep a fast for their husbands.
