1. The frequent use of fertilizer results loss in soil fertility.

2. It kills the earthworm which helps in loosening the field and help to produce humus which good for soil.

3. It causes water pollution.

4. It is very expensive, compared to manure.

The advantages of fertilizer are

1. It contains a lot of nutrient like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and calcium.

2. It is very lightweight, easy to transport and carry.

3. It required in very less quantity compared to manure.
