Management and Implementation of Project

To execute any project successfully it is essential to have a strong execution body to take decisions for running the Project smoothly. For this Management & Implementation is executed at different levels.

Executing Agency

The Local Self Government Department (LSG) of Government of Rajasthan is the Executing Agency for the project. RUIDP is the implementing agency.

Implementation Arrangements :

(a) Empowered Committee:

Administrative Reforms Department (Group-3) vide no order no. F-6 (45) AR/ Gr.-3/ 99(ii) dated 22.01.2013 issued order for the constitution of Empowered Committee for the project. The Empowered Committee will provide policy guidance, coordination within line agencies /ULBs and taking decision on matters related to the Project. All powers of the State Government in respect of the following matters are delegated to the Empowered committee: (i) Approval of the works to be taken up under the Project (ii) Approval of Sectoral and City-wise allocations (iii) Approval of the Annual Works Program (iv) Sanction of expenditure within the Annual Plan ceiling for the Project (v) Award of all contracts and engagement of Consultants (vi) Sanction of temporary posts and contractual services for the duration of the project only (vii) Take any other decisions in respect of Project-implementation matters so as to ensure timely Project implementation, within the scope of the Project as approved by the State Government.

The committee shall also discharge the following functions:

1. Ensure necessary co-ordination between the different implementing Departments and agencies.

2. Monitor and review the progress of implementation of the project.

3. Issue necessary directions for ensuring that the Project is implemented according to schedule
