Igneous rock is one of the three main rock types, the others being sedimentary and metamorphic rock. Igneous rocks are rocks formed from molten magma. The material is made liquid by the heat inside the Earth's mantle. When magma comes out onto the surface of the Earth, it is called lava.

Any natural mass of mineral matter that makes up the earth’s crust is known as rocks. Rocks can be of different size texture and shape. There are three types of rocks:
Igneous rocks.Igneous is a Latin word, ignis meaning fire
Sedimentary rocks means a Latin word sedimentum
Metamorphic rocks means a Latin word metamorphis measnong change of form.
Whe the molten magma is erupted from the volcano,it breaks and turns into a solid form. Thus they form igneous rocks. They are also called primary rocks.there are two types of igneous rocks
