Answer:the word viruses means poisonous liquid .viruses are the smallest living organisms.they could only be studied under a electron microscope.they are acellular that means they do not have any of the substances present in a cell.they only contain a small nuclear material wrapped around a protective coat.viruses cannot  grow and reproduce their own.this indicates they are non living.when they enter a living cell ,they use the energy of the living cell to reproduce.after reproduction of many viruses , the host cell dies and bursts.the viruses spread and invade other cells.viruses are said to be a connecting link between living things and non living things.

eg:vaccinia virus,influenza virus,HIV-I virus and polio viruses
