➡What are plastics ?
Plastics are materials which is made up of some chemical products. Plastics can be easily drawn into any shape because of it's mallebility. Plastics can be of various types such as PVC, LDPE, PP etc.
Plastics are used for various things such as used to make polythene bags, bottles, toys, utensils and many other things used in our daily life.
➡ How can we reduce usage of plastics ?
We can do following things in order to reduce usage of plastics.
◾Using bags made up of clothes to purchase cereals, grains and vegetables.
◾Reuse the plastic bags which we brought earlier.
◾Avoid using plastic bottles. Instead buy thermosteel flasks.
◾Shouldn't use plastic cutlery.
➡What changes you think it can bring in your life if we stop using plastics ?
If we stop using plastics, there will be certain changes. Such as we will be creating a better life for the generation coming forward us. We will be giving them a pollution less environment.
Moreover, stopping use of plastics will result in a pollution free society us. These things take time to get decomposed and hence are burnt which pollute the air. So the air pollution will be reduced.

Yeah recently there had been a discovery in this. And that is that we can now convert plastics into beautiful and new objects. Plastics are considered waste once they are used and then thrown. But now it can be turned into good things with the accessibility to all by free means of web.
➡ Any bad or good experience of yours with plastic ?
Obviously yes. I've a similar bad experience daily because of plastic. On my way to school there is a large dumping area where sometimes the plastic is being burnt. It's smoke cause trouble in breathing to the people who go from that area and also sometimes enabling to see the further objects during winters because of smoke and fog.

1. What is plastic?
Plastic is a manufactured material made from many natural polymers like nylon, polythene etc. They can be molded into any shape on heating.
2. How can we reduce usage of PLASTICS?
We can reduce the usage of PLASTICS in the following ways:
1. We can reuse the plastic bag we get from shopping malls.
2. Stop using straws.
3. Pack food in glass containers instead of plastic containers.
4. Use metal razors instead of plastic razors.
5. Stop using use and throw spoons, forks etc.
6. Carry your own shopping bag while going for shopping.
3. What changes you think it can bring in your life if we stop using plastics?
According to me if we stop using plastics then we can avoid a lot of pollution. As plastics are non-biodegradable items meaning they take more than a million years to get decomposed in the soil. If we stop using plastics then we can avoid many choking of animals like cows in India choke on plastics and die we can bring an end to this if we stop using plastics. If we stop using plastics, we can also reduce air pollution as the burning of plastics produces many toxic gases in the air
4. Merits and Demerits of PLASTICS?
Merits:
• Plastic is a durable and strong item that can withstand damage.
• It is a very cheap.
• Plastic bags which we get from shopping malls can be re-used as trash bags.
• Plastics do not react with other chemicals.
• Plastics are a poor conductor of heat so they can be used for making handles of cooking vessels.
Demerits:
• Plastics are non-biodegradable they take millions of years to decompose in the soil.
• Burning of plastic produces many toxic gases in the air which causes air-pollution.
• Plastics that are dumped in water bodies posses a great threat to aquatic animals.
• Plastics prevents rain water from seeping into the ground and this causes soil pollution and reduces the water table below the ground.
• Plastic also has a choking hazard as small children can choke on plastics and die.
5. Something new in discovery of plastics or anything new in this?
There is a new microorganism Ideonella sakaiensis it is a bacteria that is capable breaking down PET plastic which was isolated from outside a plastic bottle recycling facility.
6. Any bad or good experience of yours with plastic?
I had a bad experience with plastic once when I was standing in the roadside I saw a cow choking on plastic.
