The secretions of the thyroid gland:

1. Thyroid hormones such as

a)  Triiodothyronine - It's T3 which acts as an affecting factor for body growth and metabolism in us.

b) 
Thyroxine - It's T4 which is very important among the thyroid hormones and is based on  tyrosine.

The thyroid gland secretes three hormones: the two thyroid hormones – triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) – and a peptide hormone, calcitonin. The thyroid hormones influence the metabolic rate and protein synthesis, and in children, growth and development. Calcitonin plays a role in calcium homeostasis.
