  • Now the thermometer is immersed in water. We carefully observe this the bulb of thermometer is in water or not.
  • We also observe the not any part of the container is in contact of thermometer bulb.
  • Complete part of thermometer bulb is immersed in water. After immersing the thermometer.
  • We hold it in vertical position. We can find the mercury is moving in thermometer.
  • Now we wait for mercury thread becomes steady. The place where mercury is steady that is exact temperature of water in that particular time.
