Aim : The  activity to prove the rate of intermixing depends upon the force of attraction between the particles of matter ​

Explanation:

Apparatus :

Beaker

Ink

Dropper

water

Honey

Procedure :

i) Take two beaker filled with water

ii) Put a drop of ink along the sides of the first beaker.

iii) Put a drop of honey in the same way in second beaker.

iv) Leave them undisturbed and record the observation.

 Observations  

Ink spread evenly and quickly in water in comparison to honey .

Conclusion

The forces of attraction between the particles  of ink are weak, hence particles possess high kinetic energy therefore , it spreads readily whereas   In honey forces are strong enough and hence they move slowly  in water.

** Conclusion :-

Particles of matter are continuously moving but the rate of intermixing depends upon the forces of attraction between them
