The materials which allows electric current to pass through them easily are called good conductors of electricity.

The material which do not allow electric current to pass through them easily are called poor conductor of electricity.

For example: Solution of sulphuric acid ,hydrochloric acid in water conduct electricity.

Vinegar contains acetic acid and lemon juice contain citric acid also conduct electricity. A solution of sodium hydroxide ,potassium hydroxide or base in water conduct electricity.

Aim:- to test various liquids for their electrical conductivity.

Materials:- cell , bulb , wire , switch , and a beaker with water solution.

Procedure:- adjust the tester using two cell, switch, wire and bulb .

NOW, take normal water in small beaker or glass bowl and dip the end of a tester in it and watch the bulb glows this shows normal water is a good conductor of electricity you will notice the bulb glow faintly. when bulb replaced by a LED ( Light Emitting Diode ) LED glows when it has weak electric current flows.

Observation:- use other liquid or what does such as lemon juice, soda water, salt solution, Honey, kerosene oil, and distilled water in place of normal water to test other conductivity.
