Dear Madam,
We the Carewell Hostel students are happy with all the facilities available in the hostel. Many of us think this is the best hostel in the city.
We are also happy with the proper water supply for bathing, washing and drinking.
However, we are apprehensive of the drinking water since it is unboiled. Drinking water, as you are well aware of, must be boiled first to prevent water borne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera and typhoid. It is necessary to boil water to kill disease causing germs and bacteria.
It would be difficult for the hostel to provide boiled water to so many students. Therefore, we request your permission to allow the students to use their own kettles to boil water for drinking.
