Well obviously, it hasn't inspired you to use the spell checker. Or maybe, you don't consider those red lines under your misspellings to be a problem? 

Technology, whether it be advanced or ancient, can be good or bad depending on your viewpoint. For example, when the guillotine was invented in the 14th century France, you would've consider that as adding to your problems if you were a murderer about to be executed. However, those who invented it, felt it was a more humane way to execute criminals. C'est la vie! 

So, today, we carry cell phones & can be reached any time anywhere. If that was a problem, you could always turn it off. But most people want to be notified immediately if there was an emergency. 

Wiretapping & surreptitious surveillance would be another area. Good If you're not a criminal conspiring to overthrow the government. Bad if you feel it to be an invasion of privacy & civil liberties that we've enjoyed for over 200 years. 

Technology is going to continue to advance whether we like it or not. The more important thing here is adapt & find a way to use it wisely & for the common of all.
