Television is one of the most influential innovations of the modern times which has impacted everyone’s life, especially the children. Undoubtedly, TV has many advantages, but its disadvantages are more that the advantages.
Ever since the IT revolution, TV has become a huge source of entertainment. There are almost uncountable channels that telecast programmes for all ages and interests. These channels have affected the students the most. Reading and self-study have just dwindled away.
The students love to sit in front of the idiot box for hours. Even they like doing their homework with TV programmes running in front of them. As a result their intelligence, creativity, and academics have become poor.
Children should be allowed to watch TV only in controlled manner.
