Work in this modern-day world is everything. It is hard to imagine a world without work for most people. Even though it governs and pervades our daily life, everyone welcomed the government's lockdown to safeguard ourselves from Coronavirus.

Women play a multi-faceted role in all this. Working women have to play the role of a wife, mother, daughter-in-law along with being a leader, entrepreneur etc. The role of women is vital whether she is working or a homemaker. She is the greatest supporter of her family. She nurtures her children so that they become better human beings, reaching the epitome of success — at the same time managing a work-life balance is like having a beautiful chair with the throne.
Women are engaged in equally responsible and challenging jobs as men. A working woman is still facing unique challenges — unique because all of them are not logical and are just a resultant of the inherited social taboo that the society imposes on them.
A working woman in India has a very different and more challenging schedule as our society has clearly defined work for women and men. New economic equations are challenging the old definition and distribution of work and somehow the redistribution of work today is not done with a fresh idea of justice.

Life during a lock down

The fact that there was no catastrophic pandemic in recent history does not mean there won't be another one.
The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has left the whole world in danger and confusion. We don't know when will this pandemic end. At this crucial point of time where social distancing is the need of the hour, the whole country is under lock down a wise decision by our government that has made our ability to react readily for the pandemic has made India as an inspiration to other countries.
We all are inside our homes. For many of us it is becoming tough to stay indoors for such a long period of time but this time can be and should be used wisely.
Life during lock down isn't easy. It is lethargic. But it can also be used wisely. Just think on a brighter side.
We can't go out, but we aren't alone as well. This is the time which we all can use to spend it with our family. Earlier, we wished for holidays so that we can spend quality time with our family members. Now, we have got this chance. So, stay at home and just spend it with your family. You can play games, watch movies, cook together and what not.
You can use this time in practicing your hobbies also. Just get up and record your dance or singing videos. Choreograph some new dances and write some new lyrics.
So, don't loose hope. We all are fighting together in this crisis and we will co-operate. Just follow lock down and social distancing. Stay safe and healthy and stay inside of your homes.
