I am Ambassador, a car manufactured by Hindustan Motors.I have just been shipped from the factory to the dealer's showroom. Here I will be kept on display till some happy customer comes and buys me.
From where did it all start? Ah, yes I remember. My Company Hindustan Motors is an Indian automaking Company Despite its British origins, the Ambassador is considered as a definitive Indian car and is fondly called "The king of Indian roads] The automobile is manufactured by Hindustan Motors at its Uttarpara plant[1] near Kolkata, West Bengal. Some prominent Indian politicians, such as Sonia Gandhi, use the Hindustan Ambassador. But I am the favored for my usage as a taxicab. Manufactured by an Indian company, Indians are known for their love and affection, so you can imagine the care and attention I got while I was being made in the factory.I could see tears in the eyes of my engineer parents while seeing me off to the showroom.
India has one of the world's largest automobile markets, and there is a lot of competition from rival cars. But I am no pushover.I have a sturdy engine which can challenge the best in business. I have a wide chassis which makes me very spacious and comfortable to travel in. I am originally based on the Morris Oxford series.
But above all, what makes me most desirable is my spacious interiors and sturdiness.I have a huge boot space for carrying luggage and very well suited for the bad Indian roads.I am usually yellow in color and have black trimmings.
But there are only two things that I fear.Firstly, I shudder at the thought that some irresponsible fellow who drives roughly and would not take proper care of me would come to buy me.Secondly, I might get involved in accidents because of this, damaging my looks and body.
I do hope that I get the same love and affection from my owner and driver as I got from my engineer parents.
