Grandparents are the most inspirational persons one can have. My grandparents are an epitome of inspiration. They physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually strong.
My grandmother is always busy doing one house hold job or another. Similarly, the grandpa is also always busy doing various jobs to keep the home in order.
My granny was diagnosed with cancer; she did not lose hope; she underwent the painful treatment courageously. The treatment included surgery and two chemotherapy cycles; she lost her hair, health, and vigor; but she never lost hope and her loving care for her family members; she was always concerned about the welfare of family members.
My grandfather had similar story; he was diagnosed with some cardiac disease; he had to be hospitalized and a permanent pacemaker was put into his heart. Even during the treatment, he never lost his smile.
Both my grandparents give all the family members hope, courage, reassurance and guidance. The truth is Our grandparents are our roots that support us at the base underground; though they are hidden underground, our existence without them is impossible. As there can be no present without the past, similarly, the young cannot have their being without the elderly. We forget to comprehend the power of the old that is keeping the world stable. Our very life will come to a standstill without the elderly. 'Old is gold' aptly describes the importance of old people in our life.
Whenever we are hurt, sad, lonely, diseased, or in any trouble, they are the first ones to come to our aid and help. Our grandparents shine in our dark world like rays of light. The truth is our grandparents are the most indispensable part of our life. They are the light of this otherwise dark world. We must respect them and love them for their invaluable light of love and wisdom in our life!
