The coronavirus is a family of viruses that can cause a range of illnesses in humans including common cold. It is believed to be originated from Wuhan, a state in China. It mainly effects the human immune system and the main symptoms are- cough, cold, fever, headache, respiratory diseases which we all have faced at least once in our life. As a result, it is very difficult to detect that one is suffering from it. Another name of coronavirus is COVID-19. It can travel through any medium as it is a virus, hence spreads easily. Since now, there is no vaccine, drug or treatment for COVID-19. However, possible vaccines and some other specific drug treatments are under investigation. The most effective ways to protect ourselves from coronavirus are – frequently washing the hands with soap or alcohol based hand sanitizer, using masks and social distancing. Coronavirus primarily spreads through the droplets exhaled when an infected person cough or sneezes, or through saliva. The first case of coronavirus was reported on November 17, 2019 of a 55-year-old individual from Hubei province in China. It is believed to be originated from bats and pangolins. Soon, by the end of the year 2019, the virus effected about 55,000 people in the Wuhan city and more than 60,000 people all over the country.
