Day Without My Cell Phone
The cell phone, or smart phone, has completely changed the way our world lives. There is no question about it; the cell phone is no longer a novelty. Rather, it is a necessity for today’s fast-paced lifestyles. In addition to making calls, cell phones now have the capability to search the web, text-message, play games, take pictures, use GPS, and e-mail. All of these accessibilities in a cell phone have made our society, chiefly my generation, very dependent on these devises: “Cell phones are changing the way society works and creating a world where lack of instant communication is a thing of the past” (Girard).
As for me, I never lose sight of my cell phone. I have an iPhone 4S that has a red and pink flower case on it. It also has a shattered screen because I dropped it at when getting out of my car about five months ago. Despite the fact I can barely see anything through its cracked screen, I use it daily as my alarm, for my music, to keep in contact with my friends through texting, to call my parents, to take pictures, to check my facebook and instagram, to check my banking account, and to write down my homework/reminders. Honestly, it is a huge Menu

Honestly, it is a huge part of my life and I would feel very vulnerable without it.
For the most part, I am a very independent individual; thus, I do not like to be dependent on anyone or anything, especially a cell phone. And so, about three days ago I wondered to myself, “what would one day be like without my cell phone?” At first, I completely disregarded the question because I did not think I would be able to commit to such a task. I, however, re-considered the question and thought, “if people in third world countries went daily without using cell phones, I could… Right?” Essentially, I decided to challenge myself to not use my cell phone all of Sunday, February 17, 2013.

"A day spent without my cell phone"
Can you imagine a day without using your mobile phone? Certainly, Not. In Today's world, Mobile Phone has become a necessity to all the younger generations, youths and adults. What exactly fascinates us using our mobile? Mobile has all the features in it which makes our life easier. It helps us to Contact people around the globe, it helps us to Search for the things we don't know, it helps us to set an alarm, search for places, play games etc. We have got enormous uses of mobiles.
So, I decided to experience my life without a mobile and thought of experimenting this by spending my day without my smart phone. At Starting it was surely hard, I kept thinking what messages my friends would have sent me and that I won't be able to reply them back today, then if I am stuck to a problem or a word which I don't know, how am I going to solve the problem without using my phone, and obviously how can I live a day without playing my favorite game!
But then I felt something, not using mobile for a day surely became a great thing for me! I could spend time with my friends, I could go for a walk and play with my friends, I could spend my time with my family having the discussions, I read the books and Novels, I played my keyboard and many more. And to be honest, the day without using my mobile had become the best day of my life! I felt free without using my mobile.
I came up to the conclusion later that mobile is not our world, we have got an outer beautiful world which is definitely best than that of the "mobile world" which keeps us engaged and which isn't good! This day made me feel great, and I loved it.
