Winter is the coldest season of the year in some parts of the northern and southern hemisphere, this season is characterized by falling snow and freezing cold temperatures, usually exacerbated by strong winds. The season which usually lasts about three months is caused by the winter-stricken area being farthest away from the sun in the earth’s orbit around it.
I stay in a city, the place the early morning fog occasionally envelops the entire area and reduces visibility to only a few yards.
Thankfully, the day I decided to take a morning stroll with two of my friends, but, they are my neighbour.
The sky was once clear, but it used to be cold.
We left domestic around 6 A.M., clad in winter wear of pullovers and jeans, with woollen undervests, mufflers wrapped round our necks. All of us wore woollen caps.
During the walk, we located the serenity of our locality, particularly as not many motor vehicles crossed us.
The birds appeared two to have already woken up as we should hear their chirps and caws.
One of my pals now and again threw roasted grams and the little sparrows swooped down on them in a flash.
After a while, we reached the local market, where the scent of samosas and kachauris being fried wafted into our nostrils.
We noticed a few humans outside the market sitting round a small hearth they had lit to maintain themselves warm.
We decided to have tea from the stall at the roadside; this was served to us in disposable polystyrene glasses, which is usually hygienic to use.
The tea-stall proprietor had accomplished his morning puja after opening the shop, which was evident from the incense sticks that had already burnt down to the closing centimetre.
After having tea, we resumed our walk and in some time crossed the Railway station, the place we should see people trickling in to seize the morning nearby trains to work.
We carried on with our walk and reached the Bus Stand after a while, the place too we ought to see the morning rush of daily passengers.
At the Bus Stand, we had piping hot puris, with an equally tasty vegetable curry and chutney for accompaniment.
It was once now 7:45 A.M. and we needed to get back home, so decided to return but through taking any other route.
It took us close to half an hour to get home, in the course of which time we saw similarly parts of the metropolis bathed in morning sunshine.
The clock tower stood tall, amongst all the buildings that we crossed on our way back.
The leaves of the newly planted shrubs in the street dividers glistened in the gentle winter sunshine.
Our big Central Park looked majestic, taking part in host to morning walkers who had come in giant numbers.
It was round 8:20 A.M. by using the time we bought home.
