Ideal Citizen Essay
A citizen is a member of a political community. An ideal citizen knows his/her rights and responsibilities. An ideal citizen respects others and, respects the environment, and contributes to the society and the community. An ideal citizen helps the community to become a better place for the others. An ideal citizen has to be full of values, principles, and ethics.
Ideal citizens are responsible for completing duties to make our democratic government work. Duties are an obligation to do your civic job. Citizens are required to do these civic jobs such as obeying the law; Citizens have to obey laws of their country but they would also have to know what the laws are. Paying taxes; Citizens don’t like paying taxes but they have to pay taxes, so the government can provide services. Taxes pay for police and fire protection including other services. Taxes also pay for schools, electricity, and other needs for the citizens and the community. Serving in the armed forces; Citizens have to defend our country if threatened. Volunteers such as militias or armies fought every war. Only men who registered and meet the qualifications cam serve in the military. Citizens have to protect our country. Appealing in court; Citizens must serve as members of a jury if they called to do so. Citizens must sacrifice and take time off other things to serve on jury; they get paid for their quality time. Citizens must also testify in court, they are considered witnesses. In order to appear as witnesses, citizens must serve on jury duty.
Civic responsibilities are defined as responsibilities of citizens. Ideal citizens have responsibilities that they’re required to complete including be informed meaning reading newspaper, follow current events for the community, state, country and world. To consider yourself an ideal citizen you would have to be a good person on the inside and outside. Ideal citizens are leaders who lead people the right way and help others make the right decisions towards others and the community. To lead others you would need those required personal traits to help your community and others become stronger and better.

An Ideal Citizen
A citizen is a person living in a particular country. He / She has every right to be participated in social , political , and other affairs of the country. An ideal citizen is the pride and basis of any society.
An ideal citizen is honest, hard working , well educated and patriotic. He surrenders himself for the sake of the nation. Mahatma Gandhiji, Pandit Nehru ji, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji etc were true citizens of India. They fought for the nation and it's because of them that we got Independence.
Ideal citizen willingly follows the rules and regulations of the country. He helps authority's in maintaining the law and order. He never tries to harm others , he performs his duty with full enthusiasm and responsibility. He is well aware of his duties and perform his duties always. Other citizens try to follow him.
An ideal citizen participates in exercising his vote and electing the representatives. A good citizen lives in harmony . He is patient and tolerant to others faith and religion. He believes in equality and liberty. He is man of principles and ideals.
Thus, He is kind, truthful , sincere , Cooperative and he is proud of the Nation's culture and heritage. He always tries to protect it. He never tolerate terrorism , injustice and corruption. Thus , he is a real source of power and strength.
