Reading isn't Equivalent to Watching Shows/Films

Reading isn’t equivalent to watching shows/films. A show/film involves a visual representation of a script, while the script is textual. While a show/film is made based on the director’s interpretation of the script, reading gives you the freedom to imagine the written text in your own way or create your own interpretations of the story. Most adaptations/movies that are made based on a book also have a lot of cut-outs, making it difficult, or rather “heart-breaking” for people who’ve read the book and know each and every scene that’s supposed to/about to happen. A book gives detailed information about every scene as well, making it easier for the reader to get the exact image of the character or the scene, although, the imagination may not always be accurate. It does however give you a creative/imaginative skill. If one had to watch the movie before reading the book, their chance to imagine might be slightly reduced since they are most likely to remember the characters and scenes that they saw in the movie, rather than create their own version of the elements. Reading provides a better experience, provoking and challenging you to develop your creative/imaginative skills. Whereas when you watch a movie, you restrict yourself to only one form/version of the characters/scenes.
