recollect a story I heard somewhere which I would like to share with you people.
There once lived a lady in a village who found her living mainly on thievery and prostitution and begging. Well i think we can’t blame her completely as that was a time of depression and she was ill educated that finding bread herself and for her fatherless child was more important that nobility. We can debate on her choice of existence but it doesn’t concern our story. One day all she could manage was some rice bran that she got from begging as she did not score any customers nor could steal anything worthy. She managed to make a small bread with that bran just to satisfy their hunger. Meanwhile a very old and feeble beggar who looked like a skeleton covered with some skin came to her hut begging food. She gave her portion of food to the peddler as she had nothing else. Her son asked her why she did that as she will have nothing to eat as that bread was all they had for the day. She consoled him and said the old man was too weak that he may not survive the night if he hadn’t had that. Well years passed after that and one day the lady died. Unfortunately the lady was taken into hell as she used to commit a lot of sins. There arrows of flames would come towards her but before piercing through her body, a big Bread of bran would come and absorb these arrows.
The story does end here. But what we should learn from this story is that even the slightest act of kindness is valued by the Almighty. Every such act will increase our worth in the eyes of the creator. So my friends never miss an opportunity to do something good as the Lord is more interested in blessing us for the good things we performed.
