        ** LIVES OF WOMEN BEFORE 200 YEARS **

The lives of women before 200 years were totally different from now. Presently the condition of women have changed drastically. Women have more rights than before, the percentage of literacy among women is also increasing, also women are now entering professional fields. Talking about the lives of women 200 years before, women didn’t have the rights to vote,own property, and couldn’t get jobs to help provide for their family.
 Also, women weren’t allowed to go to school and get an education, so woman stayed home instead and took care of their family and house all day. Women weren’t allowed to file for divorces either, so picking the right husband was very tough. Nowadays, women can file for divorces, go to school, vote, and own property, because they have the right to do so.
But now women lives’ have changed drastically since the early times.
Compared to now 200 years ago women had no freedom however, it was because of those who suffered in the past that we women took action towards our rights and took a step forward. Now women can chose whom to marry, why to marry, what job they want most even what they wear and have the education opportunity just as men have. We can say that we are equal to men now.
We can't ignore the fact that life won't be possible without women. Even then women in many areas are not given the freedom they need. Many women are the victim of domestic violence.
But now the situation is changed.....now there has been an appreciable change in the situation. Now not only women are taking stand for themselves but also men are coming forward.....the whole world is celebrating International Women’s Day with great pomp and show, it would be only apt to analyse the position and space Indian women occupy today.

Even Swami Vivekananda said that “It is impossible to think about the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is impossible for a bird to fly on only one wing."

But before many years from now, women were relegated to the household, and made to submit to the male-dominated patriarchal society, as has always been prevalent in our country. Indian women, who fought as equals with men in the nationalist struggle, were not given that free public space anymore. They became homemakers, and were mainly meant to build a strong home to support their men who were to build the newly independent country.
The situation is now changing n with some more efforts it could completely change.

The situations and rights for women have developed a lot through these years, thoug few people still have those low standard and nasty minds thinking girls should always be below the level of boys.! 

In the past mostly we always saw child marriage the children use to tie the knot just after they got mature mostly at the attached of 12 or 13! Women were treated like slaves they weren't given the privilege and freedom to go out or have aany kind of fun.. they were just like a bird in a cage who strives to go out enjoy their lifestyle. 

In the past, women weren't allowed to seek education, they weren't send to school the minimum number of girls getting educated was only at homes with a tutor around them all the time ! The society use to suppress their talents and never let them out. ( such a shame !) 

During those days, women weren't allowed to file divorce or register any kind of complain on their family (mostly husbands ) or their life mate, though they might torture and beat her up . 

Women weren't allowed to raise their voices.. they didn't even use to utter a word! They presence made no sense in those days! They didn't have their rights of reveling their voice in front of everyone they never got into the cases even though they knew the truth ! 

In those days the women weren't allowed to get a job or do any work rather than house holds... though they are educated ( in few cases ) their knowledge made no value to the people as they were never allowed to work !

At those days women weren't allowed to drive... showing gender discrimination people till now feel girls aren't good drivers ! although they weren't even allowed to vote ! but later after the protests and the huge drama created we earned our respect . rights and freedom. 

Still, in few places the stereotypes continues and still, people restrict girls from getting educated and having their life their own way ! Both are genders are equal and they both deserve their rights and freedom . Its important to share these points or rather say spread awareness among people about this issue so that our future has a better place to live in ! ^_^
