Answer:

Human society has changed much over the last centuries and this process of ‘modernization’ has profoundly affected our lives. Modernization is the process of changing the conditions of a society, an organization or a group of people in ways that change the privileges of that group according to modern technology or modern knowledge. There are differences of emphasis with respect to the meaning of modernization due to its relationship with the most contentious concept of ‘development.’ The transition from the traditional to the modern society can be treated with a primarily negative emphasis in terms of removing institutional obstacles to development, or with a positive emphasis in terms of creating the cultural environment necessary for development (Bernstein, 1971). Acc to Lerner (1964), modernization is the social process of which development is the economic component. Development or modernization denotes a particular kind of social change. Thus, the participation of social science disciplines in the discussion of development is recognized as necessary and is often being expressed in the ‘social conditions of economic growth’ or ‘non-economic barriers to economic growth’ types of formula (Bernstein, 1971).

Modernisation and the aspirations to modernity are probably the most overwhelming theme which has engaged the attention of sociologists, political scientists, economists and many others. In recent years the term ‘Modernisation’ has come to be used with starting frequency to characterise the urge for change.

A massive body of literature has cropped up on modernization to comprehend the process of modernisation a large number of theoretical approaches have emerged. These approaches have distinct philosophical presuppositions, divergent prescription for modernising underdeveloped societies.

Modernisation theories are not merely academic exercise only. These approaches provided the matrix for policies adopted by advanced capitalist countries for modernising underdeveloped now called developing societies. All the modernisation theories aim at the explanation of the global process by which traditional societies are modernising or have modernised.

Modernisation theories were originally formulated in response to the new world leadership role that the United States took on after World War II. As such they had important policy implications.First, as says D.C Tipps, modernisation theories help to provide an implicit justification for the symmetrical power relationship between ‘traditional’ and ‘mode.’ societies. Since the United States is modern and advanced and the Third World is traditional and backward, the latter should look to the former for guidance.

Modernization, in sociology, the transformation from a traditional, rural, urban, industrial society.

Modern society is industrial society. To modernize a society is, first of all, to industrialize it.

Modernization is a continuous and open-ended process. Historically, the span of time over which it has occurred must be measured in centuries, although there are examples of accelerated modernization.

Modernization seems to have two main phases. Up to a certain point in its course, it carries the institutions and values of society along with it, in what is generally regarded as a progressive, upward movement.

More seriously, modernization on an intensified level and on a world scale brings new social and material strains that may threaten the very growth and expansion on which modern society is founded.

Human Behavior and Attitudes Effect our Environmental Future

Humans impact the physical environment in many ways: overpopulation, pollution, burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. Changes like these have triggered climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water.

Human behaviour can either make or break, protect or destroy his environment. Man grows in the environment and lives in the environment.

Composting, recycling, technological development, water cycle and photosynthesis are changes that have good effects. Some changes have bad effect like pollution and destruction of habitat and lose of lives. Improper disposal of garbage, harmful chemicals and human waste can cause changes.

In order to save our environment we have to become more environmentally friendly by taking these steps.

Use Reusable Bags: Whether you are shopping for food, clothes or books, use a reusable bag. This cuts down on litter and prevents animals from getting a hold of them.

Recycle

Save Electricity

Save Water

Avoid Taking Cars or Carpool When Possible.

These are very easy steps we can take to become more environmentally friendly, even as a student. Taking these steps will enable us to build a better future for ourselves and the next generations.

The major problems in the world are the result of difference between how nature works and the way people think

"Let's nurture the nature so that we can have a better future".
