Temperature is a abiotic ecological factor and is very important as it regulates the physiological processes in the organisms. Rates of metabolic processes occurring inside the living beings are measured by temperature which decrease with the decrease in temperature and increase at a particular temperature called the optimum temperature. Organisms work best at their optimum temperature and their activity is decreased with decrease in temperature.
