It is a shocker that even in the 21st century, places of worship are discriminating on the grounds of gender.
As a responsible citizen we must oppose that and demand for the entry of females in all religious centres like temples, mosques, churches etc.
Until and unless women are given equal rights in places of worship, social reform would be just a myth not a reality.
Social reform is a myth if places of worship are open only to all castes and not to all genders.
God created all beings with equal, love, and care. The entire creation is the expression of God’s love. But man created boundaries, differences, castes, creeds, and religions. He made biased rules and regulations according to his convenience. Such biases and discrimination afflict many religions. It is very unfortunate at some places of worship all men and women are not allowed to enter and worship God.
Many social reformers in our country raised voice against this discrimination. The most disturbing thing is this discrimination has lingered on till the contemporary times. In the western world where unprecedented development and advancement has stunned the world, this social, religious, and gender discrimination tarnish the image of our culture and country. How can we say we have done social reforms in such a scenario?
The need of the hour is all types of discriminations must be eradicated forthwith. If the people continue to practice discrimination, the Government must take strict action against such people, whichever religion they might be belonging to. Our constitution ensures equality to all citizens. Certain people can’t be more powerful than the constitution.
In conclusion, it can be said that all people irrespective of castes, colors, creeds, and religions must be allowed to enter any place of religion and must be allowed to worship the universal God.
