Meghalaya! This lovely area (one of the Seven Sisters of Northeast India) has continued to nurture each and every little gift of nature in all its splendour, unaffected by the severity of modern day vulnerability.

  • In Meghalaya, there are numerous tourist attractions. The tallest waterfall in India, Nohkalikai Waterfall, is a sight that must be experienced. This stunning waterfall, which is 1115 feet tall, is in and of itself a wonder of nature.
  • If you think manufactured lakes can't be as beautiful as natural ones, a visit to Umiam Lake will persuade you otherwise. The lake is large literally, with a surface size of 221 square kilometres.
  • Meghalaya has a lot of beautiful waterfalls, which contributes significantly to the state's appeal. One of these waterfalls that is particularly well-known is Elephant Falls. It is a cool, lush woodland with a three-tiered waterfall in the middle of it.
  • a community recognised as being the cleanest village in all of Asia in 2003, not just India One of the most popular tourist spots in Meghalaya is not just because it is clean. It is obvious why Mawlynnong Village is also referred to as "God's Own Garden" due to the beauty that God has bestowed upon it.
  • The tourism strategy would include activities to acquaint tour operators from outside the state with Meghalaya's tourist destinations, as well as promotions of local handicrafts and cuisine, festivals, and tribal sports.
