There are certain advantages and disadvantages of newspaper on one hand and internet and television on the other. Both the media are one of the important source of giving information.

Television is an electronic device in which we can view and listen to the programes. It is one of the sources of entertainment. All the member of the family watch television and spend their time together. There are different channels for different topics on television. There are a sports channel, movie channels, infotainment channels, and music channels. They provide with different knowledge which the books or any other sources cannot give. There are different types of shows and movies which are telecasted on the television. Apart from giving information and news about the world, there are certain flaws of television too. The viewers tend to follow the things telecasted in the shows and movies. At times the viewers copy the actions and way of talking and try them in real lives. This increases the violence in society. Children are more prone to copy the activities which they need to be prohibited from. The youth gets influenced by the actions and personality of the heroic figures which they start to try in reality.

With the digitalization and increase in the usage of the internet, there has been a change in the type of education system. Internet and the use of the sources available in it are one of the main sources of getting all the required study material. Students now opt for studying mainly through the internet. It is much accessible as compared to the traditional form of learning. There is no limitation or boundary with respect to the time, place of content about learning in this process. It is true that in the coming future the way of studying and learning would not include the traditional student and teachers but would be basically internet oriented. Books and teachers stand on the verge of being replaced with the sources available on the internet. There are platforms on the internet too which gives opportunities to both the learners and the instructors. The internet provides all types of information and sources which needs to be filtered according to the age. This becomes one of the barriers in its usage. Because of the internet, there has been an increase in the system of virtual friendship. Children limit their exposure only till the world of virtuality and are remain unaware of the reality.
