I am Anjali, hail from a small village Bishnupur Diha in Samastipur, Bihar. You can read more about me in this blog — Unknowingly became Software Engineer.

Whenever I go home, I love spending time in village. I love the aroma of land(Mitti Di Khushboo), where I was born, where I grew, where I got my primary education.

I am happy because my family is becoming more financially sustainable, but I am equally saddened to see not many families from my village are on the same track. I am more concerned about my friends, which I have in my village. In the larger picture, not every family in India is having similar growth. Looking back, I believe there has been something wrong with the government, which some how most of the time does not seem to be functioning for common people.

In Bihar, we have upcoming election to vote for right leadership, who can transform Bihar in a better Bihar, which I have only seen in my dreams. My village is voting on 12th October. So, it is time to disclose the name of the leader or party, which I support.

My support goes to the party which is going to focus on following points, when they come to power —

Education

Agriculture

Electricity

Transportation

Why education is most important point to focus on?

Lack of education is the root cause of any type of crime which happens in Bihar. Education is very important for every child whether boy or girl. But I

am more concerned about girl education.

If we educate a boy, we educate one person. If we educate a girl, we educate a family. If we educate more girls, then they are more likely to ensure that their children also receive proper education. Educated women are more likely to ensure better health care for themselves and the babies. Also they are more likely to ensure better birth control and have fewer and healthier babies. Educated girls and women are less likely to be victims of domestic and sexual violence or to tolerate it in their families.

What I expect from the government —

Highly transparent teacher recruitment system,

Recruitment of skilled & motivated teachers,

Toilets for students, to make our girls safe.

Basic facilities like fans, benches, hygienic water.

Other needed facilities for students inprivate schools are interacting and learning from new technologies like smartphones, tablets, computer system, however most of the students in governmental school never touch a laboratory flask, or prism until they go for higher education or get admission in private schools).

Agriculture is another point which needs more focus?

Agriculture is backbone for finance in Bihar. Sadly it is highly inefficient right now. Farmers can produce more wheat, rice, corns or any other crops, if they are guided properly.

In Bihar, there is no proper electricity plan for farmers to water their fields. There is no proper water management, and that is why many farmers hard work in the fields is victimized by massive flood. And some time, lack of water destroys the crops. Proper guide is needed to make these farmers efficient, they must be guided about the use of seeds, pesticides etc.

What I expect from the government —

Skill development and training for the farmers,

Better water and irrigation management,

Better seed and pesticides availability and guidelines,

Remove corrupted entities from agriculture department.

Electricity —

Before early 2014, there was no electricity in my village. Even though, there has been huge progress in this sector, we need to make more progress to make best out of it. Electricity can help farmers, to irrigate there fields easily and timely. Electricity can help more technology to reach these unreachable villages. It can lead to use of smartphones, internet and television, which are vital source of information in this digital age. We need to remove corrupted entities from this field. Take for example, from my village itself, the contractor sold 2 out of 5 transformers.

What I expect from the government —

More villages need to be covered,

Reduce the corruption level,

Inspire people to pay for the electricity(In villages may people use unnoticed).
