Take a pot which has sprouted many leaves. Choose any leaf and cover it with a black tape. Keep the pot in sunlight  for 2 days approximately.

AFTER 2 DAYS, pull off the tape.

Now conduct a starch experiment by putting Iodine solution on the leaf. We see that the covered part remains white  and other part Turns Blue-Black in color.

• The Blue Black presence shows the presence of Starch
• The white part shoes that there is no presence of Starch.

This shows that to make starch in Photosynthesis , sunlight is needed.
