To produce and isolate a salt by neutralizing a base with an acid. Arrhenius acid, Brönsted acid, Arrhenius base, Brönsted base, salt, neutralization reaction. In this reaction, the H+ ions from the acid and OH- ions from the base combine to produce water.

Take an beaker filled with HCl acid
Now, add NaOH to it.
What do we see ?
There is an instant vigorus reaction between them.... We see the following results
*Water
*Salt (Sodium cholride)
Hence the chemical equation cam be written as -
HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H2O
Also, in this reaction we can see that the salt is in neutral (i.e not acidic nor alkaline) state. Hence this type of reaction is termed as "neutalisation" recation.
Hope it helps
