The answer is 9-(2/x).

quotient = 2/x

To emphasize PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponent, Mulitiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction), we add a parenthesis to 2/x.

In arithmetic, a quotient (from Latin: quotiens "how many times", pronounced /ˈkwoʊʃənt/) is the quantity produced by the division of two numbers. The quotient has widespread use throughout mathematics, and is commonly referred to as a fraction or a ratio.

9-(2x)

x may vary from

1,2,3,4.........

if x=1

then number will be=2*1=2

and quoitient will be 1

then the expression will be

9-2=7
