My dear Suresh,
I have not heard from you for a long time. This silence, unusual as it was, put me to no small anxiety. However, I surmised what might be the cause. While I was in this state of trance, suspense and anxiety, I was told by your neighbour that you were laid up with fever. He also told me that you have recovered now.
I thank God from the core of my heart that he has granted you a fresh lease of life. Let me congratulate you heartily on your recovery.
Dear friend, you must have been grown weak. Remember Health is wealth. Take good care of your health. Take milk, fruits and light food. Don’t exert yourself. It is true that you have lost some ground in the class by your so long confinement to the bed. Dear Suresh, do not brood over the loss. With the recovery of your health, Everything has been recovered. The deficiency, which you have suffered, will soon be made up by intense application to your studies.
Act upon your doctor’s advice. When you pick up some strength, do go out for a light morning walk. You may soon regain your health and strength.
Now, nothing will so cheer my heart as to read new lines written with your own hand.
With best wishes,
Yours Sincerely,
Meenakshi
