When a person is successful in life he tends to look down on others who are not successful. He talks to them in a condescending manner. He makes it a point to tell them some words of advice through which he wants to show off his success. He even goes to the extent of making the person feel that he is not capable enough that is why he is not able to achieve his goal. In this way a successful person makes him feel low and the unsuccessful person develops a low self image.
A low self image is very harmful. We are what we think we are. Thoughts are very powerful. If you think you can you will surely be able to do the work. But if you think you can't, then even if you want you will not be able to achieve it. Positive thoughts about yourself are very important. They give you the strength and ability to be successful. Positive thoughts create positive vibrations which attract success.
If you want to be a star you must think high. It is said, 'Dust you think dust you are. God you think God you are'. So a low self image can do irreparable harm.
