Dear Soldiers:
I hope this letter finds you standing on guard to safeguard our country’s huge Line of Control on the western and eastern fronts. Some of you do the hardest duties in the world at Siachin where temperature is freezing to bone.
If I say India is safe just because of you I am not exaggerating. Infiltration from the western and eastern borders has increased quite a lot. You have to be on your guard round the clock. You people deserve kudos for having dealt with the enemies of the country with iron hand. Terrorists and enemies of the countries had started taking the armed forces for granted. They thought the army could be made an easy target. But you taught them a befitting lesson.
Two surgical strikes in the year 2016 and 2017 were befitting replies to the enemies. The first was done in Myanmar and the second was done in POK on September 29, 2017. The enemies came to know vengeance will pursue them if they will target security forces. The precision of the surgical strikes was perfect. The one conducted in POK inflicted heavy loss on the enemies. The entire world appreciated this retaliatory response.
The current army chief’ dynamism and courage also is commendable; he has taken army’s achievements to greater heights. The entire nation is proud of you all. Once again I congratulate you for the successful surgical strikes. May God always keep you safe and sound! Jai Hind.

The reason our country is safe and secure is because you are keeping us from the enemies. Without you, there will not be peace across the country. As citizens of the county, we are proud for the recent surgical strike on the Kashmir border on 29 September. Our country faced a massive attack from the enemies last week. Many lost lives but we gave a great comeback honoring our soldiers who died fighting for us. But, now the terrorist group that attacked us is either killed or captured. This will send a warning to all the other groups who are planning on attacking our country.
