I hope you are well by the grace of the Almighty. I am well too. It’s been long since I received your last letter. So I have thought of writing this letter.

I am writing this letter to let you know that I have developed an enjoyable hobby since the past six months. My favourite hobby is gardening. It gives me much pleasure. It keeps engaged as well as fit and healthy. I have a flower garden in front of my reading room. Whenever I get time, I work in it. I water the plants regularly. The garden looks very charming. Every day I work in the garden. On holiday I work more. My joys know no bound when I see the flowers in full bloom. There are many kinds of flowers in my garden. They are symbol of beauty. Garden also brings you closer to nature. By the way, if you have any particular hobby, please don’t forget to let me know.

Dear Rahul,

Hello! How are you? I hope you must be doing well. I am also doing fine here. During these summer vacations, I have explored a new hobby i.e. 'gardening.' It has been entirely a new experience for me and I loved planting the different tiny plants, seeing them grow, and learning their significance in our lives. Whenever I am in the garden, I feel a different kind of peace and delight.

I used to spend plenty of time in my garden. Many types of birds also come there. Bulbul, Vasanta, cuckoo, pigeon, crow, myna, etc. are prominent. Some live there only. They have built their nests. Listening to their chirpings, observing their movements, etc. are the tools of inspiration and protection for me. When flowers are planted in trees and plants, then there is more joy. The whole house smells of what to say about their fragrance. There is a new scene when mango dawns in April-May. The sweet and tangy aroma of mango blossoms dulls the mind, and then the rolling of the cuckoo is like icing on the cake! It really gives a soothing feeling. Even Mumma joins me in it. I think you should also try this at once.
