A day without my phone
My phone ran out of battery and there was no electricity up in the hills where we went for trekking. We had reached the top of the peak. We were to camp there that night. Our trek leader had given us the day off. We could spend the day the way we wanted.
I hadn't played my favourite online game since I had set out for trekking. I was most eager to play it now. After that I had to update all my happenings on my face book account. My instagram account had to be loaded with my selfies. Just as I snuggled into the tent to relax I realized that my phone had run out of battery.
Same was the case with most of my fellow trekkers. All of us were heart broken. Having nothing to do we crept out of the tent. Lo and behold! What a beautiful sight we saw. From the top of the hill the landscape looked so picturesque. Flowers bloomed all over the hill especially daisies and dandelions.
Snow peaks ringed the periphery playing peek a boo with the clouds. Colourful birds twitted and chirped over our heads. The Earth was bustling with life. As the sun declined over the hills it was a feast for the eyes.
At night we sang songs and gazed at the stars as if we were Astrophel. Night birds kept us company and we even spotted a shooting star. I had never spent a night in the open air. I had missed the beauty of the night.
When the birds heralded the dawn all of were sad that it was time to go home. All of us had loved the previous day. We then vowed that we would use our phones less and spend more time with Nature. Thank God my phone had run out of battery.

Story:
My phone ran out of battery and I was very late for my interview. I took my charger and phone, and started to travel to my interview place. The interview is far away from my living place, so I hurried in my two-wheeler.
The sun is not up yet. There are milkmen and newspaper boys all around the place. I was very careful to not hit anybody though I started to speed the vehicle. My interview time is 6:30 AM and it is 5:45 AM all ready. I hope I don't blew this interview as there is rent due, debt is in due and all kinds of bill is in due. This job is very important and I prepared everything.
When I was about to turn in a bottleneck, my vehicle hit a dog. My balance missed and I fell from the vehicle. The dog is out on the spot. Now, there are three more puppies licking the face of the mother dog. I killed the dog. I would go to the interview and forget about this stray. But, I didn't build that kind of conscience and it will haunt rest of my life in that company.
Now, the sun is up and the people are starting to walk. I picked the dog placed its body in the front area and placed the three puppies in my hand bag. I took went to a ground and dug a hole with spanner. Now, the time is 9:00 AM and the interview is over.
I didn't get the job and adopted three puppies. Later, I went to a restaurant and got a job. The manager promised to give me the left overs. I am not a successful person but I am not an unkind person.
