Root are present in well differentiated plants but rhizoids are present in lwss differentiated plant like bryophytes. 1.Root and rhizoid both help the plant to take mineral+water from soil.
2.Root and rhizoid both are present in lower part of plant AKA shoot.

Both the rhizoids and roots are functional for plants in absorbing water and they provide stability to the plant in their existence.

Rhizoids are protuberances that spread from the lower epidermal cells of bryophytes and algae.

They are alike in structure and work to the root hairs of vascular land plants. 

Roots are multi-cellular organs made of multiple tissues that together renders a common function.
