Five features of the right to Equality are:

a) According to this law, the government shall not deny to any person in India equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws.
b) The government shall not discriminate against any citizen on the grounds of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender or place of birth.
c) All citizens shall have equality of opportunity in matters relating to any position in the government.
d) The principle of non-discrimination extends to social life as well.
e) All citizens have equality of opportunity in matters relating to employment or appointment to any position in the government.

2) It guarantees both equality before law as well as equality in protection by law irrespective of economic status, caste, colour, creed, religion, or sex.
3) Provides equality of opportunity for all citizens matter relating to employment in an office under the central or state government.
4) Abolishes untouchability and its practice in any form.
5) Abolishes all titles like Rai Sabha, Khan Bahadur, Maharaja., etc. These titles are considered a negation of equal status for all.
