Advantages. Synthetic fibers are more durable than most natural fibers and will readily pick-up different dyes. In addition, many synthetic fibers offer consumer-friendly functions such as stretching, waterproofing and stain resistance. ... Disadvantages

Synthetic fibers burn more readily than natural.
