1.Voltmeter is connected in parallel to the circuit element while ammeter is connected in series to the circuit.

2. A voltmeter has very high resistance while an ammeter has very low shunt resistance.

3. A voltmeter is used to measure voltage where as an ammeter is used to measure the current.

4.Ideal ammetet has zero resistance wgile odeal voltmeter has infinite resistance.

the difference between voltmeter and ammeter are:
1:ammeter is used to measure current in a circuit.
2:voltmeter is used to measure voltage

rakshit814: 3 differences were asked...
Milans88: more is good isnt it
rakshit814: Yeah definitely...Gives me an option to learn one extra point just in case I forget one :p
